Blog Post 11.2: Know Your Child

Ever wonder how your child is doing in school? or somehow you never got to spend time to know them? I was walking around Rosedale Mall and found this ad. This ad is promoted by National PTA  for you parents to know how your child is doing in school. On this ad is a sheet of paper with two test questions, question one: I can recall a scene from a reality TV show, question two: I can recall visiting my kid’s school. There is no price for this ad but National PTA has set an awareness for parents to visit and know more about their kids.

National PTA’s target market is parents, because this is a set awareness for parents to turn to their kids and communicate with them. Parents are busy working and some do not spend enough time with their child. The reason National PTA chose these two question is a great idea. Most parents will recall a scene from a TV show more than recalling a scene at their kid’s school. They stated the obvious and connected a way to show studies without using numbers. I love how they added “Know what really matters” in pencil, which gave this ad more serious. This ad is a reminder to parents to remember the moments in their kid’s life and their education. Most parents do not know what their child is going through in their education or life. This awareness is a great set up for parents to look like and people like to take tests. This was by far a great advertisement.
